First off, you have to make sure you are putting a MAP sensor enhancer on a MAP sensor, or a MAF sensor with a voltage output. The MAP Sensor Enhancer cannot be used on the more common MAF sensor that has the frequency output.
You have to determine for yourself if what kind of MAF sensor you have in your car, we can't tell you, because we are not experts on every car.
This guide is not a substitute for determining exactly what is going on in your car before working on it.
There are 3 wires that go to the MAP sensor:
1. The power, which will be between 5 and 12 volts, and is a constant value.
2. The signal wire, which normally varies with RPM between about 1 and 5 volts. It connects to the ECU
3. The ground wire, which is usually NOT the same as the chassis ground. It is the ground wire for the electronics.
To connect the MAP Sensor Enhancer, cut the signal wire to the ECU. The end of the wire FROM the MAP sensor connects to the input of the MAP Sensor Enhancer. The endo of the wire that goes TO the ECU connects to the output of the MAP Sensor Enhancer. The ground wire from the MAP Sensor Enhancer should be connected to the ground wire on the MAP sensor - do not cut this wire, just connect to it.
